WYOU is a membership-based organization. Members of the station can sign up for classes in video production and become certified to use WYOU equipment such as cameras, editing equipment, and a 3-camera studio. To become a member, please attend an orientation session, complete a membership form and make payable to WYOU Community Television.
Types of Membership:
- Equipment Membership: ($40/year)
Any Madison resident may join WYOU as an Equipment Member and receive the following benefits:
- enroll in video production classes (camera, editing, and studio classes)
- enjoy free use of the cameras, studio, and production facilities
- receive our monthly program guide
- vote for WYOU's Board of Directors
- Organizational Membership: ($60/year non-profit, $125/year for-profit)
Any organization based in Madison, including a Madison chapter of any state or national organization, is welcome to become a member of WYOU. Members of the organization can enroll in camera, editing, and studio training classes and submit productions for that organization. Anyone wishing to check out equipment from WYOU still needs to have an individual Equipment Membership.
- Contributing Membership: (minimum $25/year individual, $35/year organizational donation)
A Contributing Member gives an annual donation to support WYOU in its work. Anyone may join the station as a Contributing Member and will receive our program guide and vote in station elections.
